Some of the most dynamic committees hosted by SOMA are the Joint Crisis Committees. Here, delegates take on the roles of the key decision-makers in two opposing committees, which face off in a battle of strategy and wits. Throughout, SOMA’s Crisis Staff will introduce challenging new developments for them to work through. In the Ad-Hoc committee, delegates are not provided with topics or background guides beforehand. The Ad Hoc topic for SOMA L was “Monopoly.” This year, SOMA will have 3 crisis committees, which will be held in person.
