SOMA 52 Conference Charity:

The Hospital for Sick Children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is Canada’s most research-intensive hospital and the largest centre dedicated to improving children’s health in the country. The SickKids Foundation is the Hospital’s fundraising body, and has been Canada’s largest charitable funder of child health research since its establishment in 1972. Donations to the SickKids Foundation will be used to further the development of Precision Child Health (PCH) at SickKids. The staff at the Hospital are using Precision Child Health to diagnose faster, treat smarter, and predict better. Faster diagnoses means sick children will have a quicker answer to the question “what’s wrong?” Smarter treatment means reduced side effects and relapses, and the treatment of causes and not symptoms. Better prediction means being able to fight illness better by knowing what’s coming. Precision Child Health is the future of paediatric medicine, and your donations can make it possible.
