Delegate Gala @ the El Mocambo

Venue

50MA is excited to announce that this year, the SOMA Gala will be held in the legendary El-Mocambo music venue. Since its construction in the mid-19th century, the El Mocambo is best known for hosting the likes of the Rolling Stones, Marilyn Monroe, Dan Schafer, and Grover Washington Jr.. Walking distance from our committee buildings and the Spadina subway station and on both the Spadina and College streetcars, the ElMo is both prestigious and highly accessible.

Timing

The SOMA Gala will run from 7-10 pm on April 30th, 2024. This allows 3 hours from the final committee session that day to get ready for the event.

Requirements

Attire

The SOMA Gala requires semi-formal attire to attend.

Supervision

In order to attend the SOMA Gala, you must have your faculty advisor (for school delegations) or parent/guardian (for independent delegates) present at all times.

Identification

To gain entry to the SOMA Gala, the lanyard picked up at registration must be visibly worn. This is an exclusive event and we need your cooperation to ensure it is kept that way.

Delegates must have submitted their R.S.V.P. form to be admitted.
